Diagonal Days: The comic strip based on the character of the Diagonal Lane novels

For French and German versions of this strip, check out my main cartoon blog pen-slinger.blogspot.com

This is the first time Mrs. Bromowitz is appearing in this comic strip. In the Diagonal Lane novels, I describe her as having put on some weight after having retired as a ballerina, which often happens to ex-dancers, but still a handsome woman who made the hearts of all the middle-aged men on Diagonal Lane go pit-a-pat. Somewhat imperious and commanding, like Catherine the Great.

To draw her, I drew on an old photo of early 20th century ballerina Anna Pavlova for inspiration. Let me know if the above sketch matches how you imagined Mrs. Bromowitz when you were reading Death On Diagonal Lane.
